The iphone will be released on the O2 network in the UK. I have been looking forward now for a long time to get this phone. Apple really has created a new awesome product which is going to revolutionize the ways phone work.
In the process I decided to start this site, probably mostly for UK / Europe customers to educate and learn about the iphone together, to share knowledge on how to hack the iphone or waht not.
Why did Apple choose O2? I don't know, but what I heard today on the news, Steve Jobs kind of compared the networks to 'dating partners' and a 'marriage in hand'. So I guess the other networks (Vodafone, Orange, Virgin, T-Mobile) will not be very happy!
I myself am on Vodafone so I wonder how to work this now... I think O2 actually does keep things unlocked so we will see what happens I guess...
Looking forward to November 9, which is the release date in the UK.
